Free Coin Counting Reactivated

The challenge of recirculating coins throughout the nation continues to negatively affect consumers, businesses and the public, so the U.S. Coin Task Force has issued a plea for the public to #GetCoinMoving during October. To assist, North Shore Bank will offer everyone free coin counting and exchange for dollars at its 43 branches until Oct. 31.

There was also a coin shortage caused by lack of coin circulation beginning in 2020, and North Shore Bank successfully recirculated more than $1 million for local business needs at that time.
