Free Ride

Two Northwoods Cycles that were donated by Mills Farm Fleet.

As part of the ongoing “Ride Free” Green Bicycle Campaign in Ellison Bay, Liberty Grove’s business association, Door County North, has partnered with Mills Fleet Farm to add four new Northwoods bikes to the existing fleet of bikes available at the Ellison Bay visitor booth. Door County North is trying to encourage both visitors and residents of the Ellison Bay area to enjoy a nice bike ride.

Mills Fleet Farm, which has been proudly serving the Upper Midwest since 1955 with high quality merchandise, worked with Paul Schwengel to offer two men’s bikes and two women’s bikes for the program.

Schwengel said, “I really appreciate the support Mills Fleet Farm has shown our community for this project.”

Mills Fleet Farm donated high quality bikes that feature 26-inch alloy wheels, dual suspension alloy frame, 7-speed Shimano equipped, alloy stems, comfort saddle with springs, full cover chain guard and twist shifting.

Bicycles are now available at the Ellison Bay visitor booth and will be available throughout the summer and early fall. Visitor booth hours are 10 am – 4 pm Monday through Saturday and 11 am – 3 pm Sunday. Bicycles must be signed out at the booth prior to use.

Bicycles are intended to be ridden throughout the Liberty Grove area to a destination in Door County North to shop, buy groceries, pick up lunch, go to a park, casual sightseeing or simply for transportation. For more information call the Ellison Bay visitor booth at 920.854.5448.
