Free Well Testing in Kewaunee County

The Kewaunee County Land and Water Conservation Department (LWCD) is offering free well testing for private well owners as a continuation of its comprehensive study of the county’s groundwater quality

The program is accepting up to 300 participants for testing in November. As of Nov. 1, 100 spots remained. Those who received a free well test in July 2021 are not eligible for this free test.

Pick up a testing bottle Nov. 10-11 at the LWCD office, 625 3rd St. in Luxemburg, where volunteers will instruct participants about how and when to sample their wells. After testing, each well owner will receive the results, which will be confidential and presented publicly only in a way that does not identify individual homes or businesses.

To register, contact Davina Bonness at 920.845.9743 or [email protected] by Nov. 10. The free well testing is funded through a Wisconsin Coastal Management grant and a donation by Peninsula Pride Farms.
