Friends of Door County Libraries Book Sale

Finding a convenient browsing spot under a table at last year’s Friends of Door County Libraries Book Sale, Molly Hall, 19-month old daughter of Mary and Andy Hall of Sturgeon Bay, searched through dozens of paperback fiction books, looking for one that her “Mima” might like. She and Mima (Kathy White Graf of Sturgeon Bay) will be back to shop at this year’s Book Sale on July 24 and 25 in the basement of the Door County Library in Sturgeon Bay.

Finding bargains is a great way to stretch our budgets, and the annual July Book Sale – organized and staffed by volunteer members of the Friends of Door County Libraries – is one of the greatest bargain opportunities of the summer!

This year’s sale will take place July 23 – 25, and the book sale is held in the basement of the Door County Library in Sturgeon Bay (107 S 4th Avenue). Thursday hours are 6 – 8:30 pm (for Friends members only – but anyone can join that evening for $5). The sale is open to the public on Friday and Saturday, July 24 and 25; hours are 9 am – 4 pm both days.

From age one to 101 there are books and items of interest to everyone!  Because donations are received and sorted all year long, there are hundreds of pre-sorted, easily-browsed, books, magazines, movies, and other special or nostalgic items for adults, teens and children to discover.

Proceeds from the annual Friends of Door County Libraries Book Sale in Sturgeon Bay benefit all eight locations of the Door County Library: Baileys Harbor, Egg Harbor, Ephraim, Fish Creek, Forestville, Sister Bay, Sturgeon Bay and Washington Island.
