Animal Tracks

Join the folks at The Ridges Sanctuary to learn more about the foot and hoof prints you see in the snow, then make your own track casting. 10 am.

Take in the sparkle of druzy jewelry from Aimee Rivka during Plum Bottom Pottery & Gallery’s winter Diamonds & Druzy Show. 10 am – 4 pm.

New Year’s at Pen Park

Drop by the Nature Center at Peninsula State Park for a campfire and pudgy pie cheese sandwiches. 11 am.

Home for the Holidays

Enjoy an evening of warm and whimsical holiday classics, original folk tunes and Northern Sky favorites with Doc Heide, Holly Feldman and Eric Lewis at the Old Gibraltar Town Hall. 4 pm.

New Year’s Celebration

Head over to the Sister Bay Ice Rink to enjoy an evening of ice skating and the county’s only New Year’s Eve fireworks display. 8 pm.

Polar Bear Swim

Join the Jacksonport Polar Bear Club for a brisk dip in Lake Michigan! 12 pm.

New Year’s Day Parade

Egg Harbor’s goofy parade rings in the New Year with food and warm drinks, along with a stellar parade down Main Street featuring floats and characters of all kinds. 1 pm.

Frostbite Open

It has become Door County New Year’s tradition for many people: The Frostbite Open at The Red Putter Mini Golf in Ephraim. On Jan. 1 players brave the cold and snow and challenge each other to miniature golf on the frozen greens for a chance at cash prizes. 2 pm.

Ski and Snowshoe

Start off your New Year on a pair of skis or snowshoes from the Friends of Crossroads’ annual Ski-for-Free program. They’ll get you sized up and out on the trails to enjoy a beautiful new year in Door County.
