Frozen Tundra Fest Celebrates Wisconsin Wine-making

Parallel 44 Vineyard & Winery will host their third annual Frozen Tundra Wine Fest on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 24 and 25 from 3 –7 pm, at the winery located at N2185 Sleepy Hollow Road in Kewaunee.

As part of this festival, owners Steve Johnson and Maria Milano will be highlighting the whole Frozen Tundra Family of Wines: the very popular crisp light red wine called Frozen Tundra Original; the deliciously aromatic white wine called Frozen Tundra White; and the deep fruit forward sweet red wine called Frozen Tundra Red.

To celebrate these wines and our special part of the world, Parallel 44 invites the wine drinking public to an outdoor festival to celebrate the uniqueness of the wine-growing and wine-making potential of Wisconsin.

“Since we planted the vines in May of 2005, we have worked daily at growing and crafting wines of distinct quality which represent the unique terroir of the area that we proudly refer to as the Frozen Tundra,” said Johnson.

A $10 admission fee will offer wine fans an opportunity to taste and purchase wines, receive a Frozen Tundra Fest wine glass, tours of the vineyard and winery, music, cheese samples and other food will be available for purchase.
