Frykman Gallery Holds Annual Holiday Open House

The Frykman Studio Gallery will hold their annual Holiday Open House Nov. 24 & 25, from 10 am to 5 pm both days. Photographers Lucas and Heather Frykman will be freshly back from a photo trip to the American West, so they will have travel stories and a slideshow to present of past trips. Lucas will show prints and talk about his experience in Kentucky where he photographed the Great American Eclipse in August.

Woodcarver and painter David Frykman will have new carvings to show, including loon whistles and ocarinas (small, full-octave flutes) he made with his son, Tyler, as well as the Santas, lighthouses, owls, whales and other carvings he made from the 48-year-old cedar shakes he saved when the gallery’s roof was replaced this summer.

Luke and Heather’s slideshow starts at 4 pm on Saturday. As always, refreshments will be on offer and a drawing will be held to give away a photograph and a woodcarving, as well as other prizes. For more information, call 920.854.7351 or visit
