Sister Bay Historical Society will feature local artist Bethany Kirwen and her works in acrylic and mixed media. With a philosophy that life is a journey to be enjoyed with encouragement, inspiration, and friendship, her work reflects that fun and playful attitude.
After earning an MFA from Central Michigan University, she pursued exploring a wide variety of two-and-three dimensional media. She founded Kirwen’s Kids Puppets, operates her own painting business and is a full-time studio and plein air artist. Kirwen advises folks to chase after their own creative dreams and surround themselves with supportive people. Having raised her family in Door County, she has participated in exhibits at the Miller Art Museum, the Peninsula School of Art’s Guenzel Gallery, Meadows Art Gallery, Glas, Ministry Door County Medical Center and Door Peninsula Winery. She is also a member of the Door County Art League.
The Sister Bay Historical Society is located at the Corner of the Past at 10310 Fieldcrest Rd. in Sister Bay. For more information visit sisterbayhistory.org.
