Fundraising Exhibit at Ellison Bay Pottery

Ellison Bay Pottery’s fundraising exhibit, “The Magic of Home,” opens with a party on August 17 from 5 – 8 pm. 10 percent of all sales during this evening will be donated to LLS, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The exhibit includes pottery about and for the home by John Dietrich and Diane McNeil; paintings by Thomas Dietrich and Margaret Dietrich; and summer comfort food.

This is the third year John Dietrich and Diane McNeil has supported their daughter Ella McNeil-Doty and her fundraising efforts for LLS. McNeil-Doty joined Team in Training, a support and training group affiliated with LLS three years ago, to raise money to help fight and cure blood cancers. Each year her jersey lists people she runs in honor of, including her Aunt Marcia.

This is an especially important event for McNeil-Doty’s family, since shortly after running the Twin Cities Marathon last fall, McNeil-Doty was a victim of a pedestrian hit and run accident where she suffered a moderate traumatic brain injury. She is determined to be healthy enough to complete the upcoming marathon.

This exhibit closes August 31. For more information visit
