Funny Fables Teach Life’s Lessons

Evergreen Children’s Theatre returns to Third Avenue Playhouse with their new touring production on Saturday, February 27 at 2 PM. Fables, a new children’s play by Colleen Neuman, is a charming collection of sweet and funny fables that teach life’s simple but enduring lessons.

Don’t believe everything you hear! Share! Eat your vegetables! Think! Don’t count on your looks! Fall in love! Silly swans, an ambitious rat, hungry dogs, a vain fox, greedy skunks and a romantic frog bring these and other lessons to life in word and song.

Playwright Colleen Neuman notes that although the play targets children in kindergarten through sixth grade, the material also appeals to older children and families.

Formerly known as Next Door Children’s Theater, the group has been bringing their touring productions to TAP since 2005. In 2006, Next Door merged with Evergreen Theatre to become Evergreen Children’s Theatre. Their mission is to entertain, enrich and educate children through theater.

Tickets for Fables are $7 for adults and $5 for children under 12. Tickets are on sale at the theater box office, 239 N. Third Avenue, Sturgeon Bay, 920.743.1760. Box office hours are 10 am – 3 pm, Monday – Friday and one hour prior to performances. Tickets are also available at Dancing Bear, 13 N. Third Avenue and online at http://www.ThirdAvenuePlayhouse.com.
