Future of Oil and Energy Presentation at Crossroads

Dan Small and Shivani Arjuna will give a presentation entitled “Global Fossil Fuel Depletion & Energy Descent: What is the outlook, and how can we best respond?” Sunday, Dec. 2 at 4 pm at the Collins Learning Center at Crossroads at Big Creek, Sturgeon Bay.

The presentation will provide an in-depth overview of global fossil fuel and energy usage and explore the future of oil and its effects upon society. Sustain Door, a local group focused on promoting sustainability in Door County, is sponsoring the presentation, which will be followed by a question and answer session.

Dan Small is the host and producer of Milwaukee Public Television’s “Outdoor Wisconsin” and co-host of the weekly radio program “Outdoors with Dan Small & Judy Nugent.” His wife, Shivani Arjuna, is a natural wellness practitioner who produces a line of personal products.

Small and Arjuna have done extensive research on the global fossil fuel depletion situation and suggest that society must “power down” and live in less energy intensive ways in order to cope with these coming changes. With oil prices approaching $100 a barrel, the event is sure to be of great relevance to all.
