Margaret Lockwood Gallery will open up their performance space for a couple events in the first full week of June.
On June 7, 5 – 7 pm, a spoken word event titled “City Voices” will be featured for the annual About Sturgeon Bay exhibit at the gallery. The public is cordially invited. Through the lens of four men and three women, their voices will give the audience an opportunity to see more deeply into the heart of the community. Come and sit among friends.
On June 9, 5 – 6 pm, Roger Kuhns will present a monologue titled “A View From The Bridge: The Future of Sturgeon Bay” at Margaret Lockwood Gallery in Sturgeon Bay.
Performing in the lower performance space at the Margaret Lockwood Gallery, Kuhns poses the question, “how can our city be sustainable?” Kuhns’ monologues are known for their entertaining, positive, energetic, science-based storytelling. This new monologue will present insights about how to bring Sturgeon Bay together in a sustainable way. Incorporating the three spheres of community, economy and environment will be at the heart of this performance.
Kuhns is president and founder of SustainAudit, LLC, a sustainable practices consulting firm based in Connecticut. He has more than 30 years of professional experience as a geologist, sustainable practices scientist, manager and team leader for natural resources and environmental projects (80 countries) and business development, and is a problem solver, educator, and innovator.
This event is free to the public, and Kuhns will be available for questions afterwards.
