Gala Celebrates New AFT Musical

On Friday, July 25, fans and supporters of American Folklore Theatre (AFT) will have the opportunity to enjoy a sneak preview of AFT’s new show in progress, Cheeseheads: The Musical.

The gala, which begins at 1 pm at Cyndy Stiehl’s home in Ephraim, will include a reading of this delightful new musical along with a performance of a number of finished songs. This exciting new show traces the story of a Wisconsin cheese factory where a group of employees win the lottery. Following the reading by AFT performers will be a wonderful reception with the authors and cast.

The reading will cap a weeklong workshop of the show written by Dave Hudson and Paul Libman. Previously for AFT, Hudson and Libman have collaborated on Muskie Love, A Cabin with a View, and Main-Traveled Roads, which won the prestigious Richard Rodgers Award for Musical Theater.

Tickets to the benefit are $100 per person. Reservations can be made at 920.854.6117.
