Gardener Gab: Recycling Event June 7

by Michele Ploor

Hello, Town of Gardner residents. Know of someone I should talk to or have anything to share? Email me at [email protected].

The Gardner Plan Commission will hold a recycling event on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the Gardner Town Hall located at 2344 County C in Brussels. This event is open to all Door and Kewaunee County residents. It’s a drive up and drop off event. They will have people to unload items for you, so you don’t have to do the heavy lifting. This event will run from 4 to 7 pm, rain or shine.

You can drop off the following items for no charge:  Computer towers, laptops, cellphones, servers, wire and cabling, keyboards/mouse, microwave ovens, dehumidifiers/AC units, refrigerators, copiers/fax machines/printers, phone systems, DVD/VCR, stereos/CD players, rechargeable batteries, washers, dryers, stoves, other household appliances and anything metal.

A fee will be charged for the following items:  Monitors $10, TVs $15, 30” or larger TVS $30, and console TVs $30.

All proceeds will benefit the Gardner Plan Commission. They plan to use the money to help offset costs of improvements to the town’s water access sites.

The next town board meeting will be held May 9, 2018 at 6:30 pm at the town hall.

Reminders: You can check the Gardner town website at Townofgardner.org to find contact information for town officials, garbage schedules, etc.

Now you get out there and make it a great day!
