Gary D Brings Hip Hop Show to Chief Oshkosh

Join together to raise awareness about restoring the Chief Oshkosh Mini-Bowl located on South Trail directly behind Chief Oshkosh Native American Arts. On July 24, 7 – 9 pm, Chief Oshkosh presents hip hop artist Gary Dodge, stage name Gary D. For two years Dodge has participated as a Steel Bridge Songfest artist. Gary D is of the Menominee Nation. Since the young age of 15, he has been using his talent as a musician to promote organizations such as Toys for Tots, and a winter clothing drive for his community.

Dodge opened his Kid with a Dream CD tour at the 2012 Menominee Nation Powwow. He performed his hip hop show at Shawano County Fair and opened up for Tech N9ne in Milwaukee in 2013.

Dodge is attending the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. This past year he put together a show at UW-Oshkosh with Frank Waln, Sam Soche, Tall Paul and himself. They won Cultural Event of the Year from the Student Leadership Involvement Center.
