Geiger Chronicles Six Generations of Family Farming

Engaging, endearing tales about six generations of family farms in Wisconsin come to life in On a Wisconsin Family Farm: Tales of Character, Community and Culture. It’s a new book by local author and award-winning agricultural journalist Corey Geiger.

He will share stories and sign copies of the book July 10, 1-4 pm, at Novel Bay Booksellers, 44 N. 3rd Ave. in Sturgeon Bay. A lively storyteller, Geiger shares family lore to highlight more than a century of Wisconsin farming, including tales about the family matriarch who became the sole owner of the family’s homestead in 1905 and the family escapade of faking the death of a bootlegging brother to evade gangsters who were threatening the farm.
