Genius with Color

Bay Art Gallery presents its newest artist, Kimberly Rosploch. Evelyn Bengston, a corporate art consultant describes her work perfectly: “There is a scene in The Wizard of Oz where the screen turns from black and white to color.

“That is what we experience viewing a Kim Rosploch painting. Intense shades of blues beg us to wade into water washing onto iridescent sand reflecting the heat of the sun we can almost feel. We hear foam capped waves slapping the shore and feel the wind that pushes Kim’s clouds across the sky.

“Kim interprets the most prosaic scene with both subtle and vibrant hues that most of us don’t see at first glance. Her genius with color combined with impeccable draftsmanship bring life to her paintings in ways that distinguish her from other artists who might faithfully portray a scene without the magic of giving the viewer a new way to look at life. And isn’t that what art is all about?”
