Soul, Roots Duo Performs at Lost Moth Oct. 7

Lost Moth Gallery presents Karen Savoca and Pete Heitzman on Oct. 7 at 7 pm. Grit and sensitivity. Percussion and groove. Karen Savoca and Pete Heitzman are sinuous as two skaters gliding on ice as they play soul, R&B, roots and world rhythms, conjuring a communion between audience and stage.

Savoca’s songs draw listeners into a world of humor and compassion, shared with grace and ease.

Heitzman, a Syracuse native, was playing in clubs at the age of fifteen. He carved out a reputation as an ace guitarist capable of playing many styles, touring across the country with a variety of bands. He met Savoca during a return trip to his hometown, invited out by friends to hear a new singer. They jammed the night away, and he joined her group the next day.

Lost Moth Gallery is located at 7975 Hwy 42 at the north end of Egg Harbor. Coffee, tea and cookies will be served. There’s limited general seating; ticket reservations are recommended. Tickets are $20 cash. For more information call 920.495.2928.
