Get On the Wine Trail, May 16 – 18

The Door County Wine Trail will host its annual Wine Trail Weekend May 16 through May 18. During the weekend each participating Door County winery will host special events celebrating the arrival of wine season in Door County.

The Wine Trail Weekend will feature many wine related events and activities to include the following:

Von Stiehl: Free tours at 9:30 am, 10:30 am, and 11:30 am. Buy One, Get One Free wine pairings of chocolate, cheese or cheesecake on May 16 and May 18.

Red Oak: Shrimp appetizer plate with Red Oak wine from open until close on May 17, with live music by Lucy Hagen starting at 2 pm.

Door 44: Throughout the weekend a glass of their Wisconsin-grown sparkling wine will be paired with a plate of chocolate treats for $10.

Door Peninsula Winery: Door Peninsula wine and Renard’s cheese will be paired throughout May 17. A gourmet three-course dinner paired with wine and music will be served at 7 pm at the Bistro 42 restaurant in Door Peninsula Winery on Saturday. 


Simon Creek Vineyard & Winery: On May18, 1 – 5 pm, Simon Creek kicks off its free music series with Mickey Grasso. The music series continues every Sunday throughout the summer. Wine by the glass or bottle is served on the deck.

Harbor Ridge: Enjoy a glass of wine on the patio while listening to musical favorites spun by DJ Gus Michael on May 17, 1 to 4 pm. Sample cheese from Wisconsin Cheese Masters.

Orchard Country Winery & Market: Enjoy complimentary wine, cheese and cherry products all weekend long, along with free guided winery tours at 11 am, 1 pm or 3 pm. Relax with a glass of wine on May 17 while listening to Bob Bero from 1 to 4 pm.

Stone’s Throw: Come visit, taste and shop the market place, walk the grounds, help yourself to a picnic table or reserve a bocce ball court.
