Gibraltar Choir Presents Madrigal Dinner

The Gibraltar High School Choir will present its annual Madrigal Musica Concert at Bjِrklunden Lodge in Baileys Harbor November 13 and 14 at 6:30 pm and November 15 at 4 pm.

Bjِrklunden Lodge will be decorated for the holiday season, and a roaring fire will accompany the beautiful singing that has become a traditional Door County kick-off for the holiday season. The performers consist of 20 auditioned students who make up the court for the Madrigal, and they are assisted by an additional 20 students from the choir. The court is in full period costumes designed and sewn by local seamstresses.

In addition to the songs of the season and time period, the evening includes a skit performed in traditional Madrigal style, where only the male performers participate.

Anne Alberts from Top Shelf will be catering with additional food provided by local businesses.

Tickets are just $17.50 for adults, $11 for students and children 7 and under eat free. Tickets can be purchased from members of the Gibraltar High School Choir or from the Gibraltar School High School Office by stopping by the school or calling 920.868.3284 ext. 225. All proceeds from the sale of tickets support the music programs at Gibraltar School.
