Gibraltar Committee Accepts Waterfront Plan

The Gibraltar Waterfront Master Plan Steering Committee accepted and recommended to the town board the master plan presented by the design firm Short Elliott Hendrickson (SEH) at its meeting on Oct. 3. The plan is an aggregate of the ideas presented to SEH from residents and town officials over the past year.

The committee also made recommendations for the town board to retain an engineering firm to design the boat ramps near Clark Park, conduct a traffic study to explore the option of one-way streets and more parking spaces, and pursue a multi-use trail between Fish Creek Park and Peninsula State Park. The committee added language to the master plan in support of snowmobile trails for the possibility of securing grant funding in the future.
