Gibraltar Elementary Receives Title I School of Recognition

Gibraltar Elementary School is among 178 schools and districts in the state to be recognized as a Wisconsin Title I School of Recognition, an honor that recognizes success in educating students from low-income families. “These schools stand out for their efforts to educate our kids,” said State Superintendent Tony Evers. “They are staffed by dedicated educators who work with parents, families and the school community to support the needs of all kids through rigorous programming and attention to student needs.” Gibraltar is one of nine schools being recognized for earning both high-achieving and high progress honors. Elementary Principal Brian Annen said, “Gibraltar Elementary is excited to accept this award on behalf of the teachers and students who work everyday to help students achieve at a consistently high level. Bridget Schopf, our Title 1 Reading Teacher, and I will be accepting this award in Madison on May 1st and bringing it back for the students and staff at Gibraltar Elementary School.”
