Through Labor Day, the Gibraltar Grill in Fish Creek will be providing free concerts on its patio beginning at 7:30 pm. Kicking off this annual event on Friday, June 26 will be “Folk and Fun” with Cookee at 7:30 pm on the patio. Originally from Colorado, Cookee has performed for over 25 years with some of the great legends of rock and roll music, and plays many John Denver songs in tribute to his old friend.
Also returning this season is Mark Szmanda whose music is a patio favorite. Mark’s daughters occasionally accompany him and are wonderful performers.
Back by popular demand for four performances are the talented teenagers from the Birch Creek Student Jazz Ensemble. The students are in residence at the Birch Creek Music Performance Center in Egg Harbor for several weeks of serious study and strenuous performing in a variety of venues in Door County.
The blues duo, Blue & Gray, will be performing the music of Muddy Waters, as well as their own original music, four nights on the patio again this summer. Uptown Jazz Trio and Nicki Sims are also returning for the summer. New artist Mark Wahl is a contemporary folk singer who plays many of Jimmy Buffet’s greatest hits.
