Gibraltar Grill Music Fest Kicks Off May 29

On Memorial Day Weekend, the fifth annual Music Fest at the Gibraltar Grill begins. Through September 18, the Gibraltar Grill will include 32 free concerts on its patio with performances beginning at 8:30 pm and running until approximately 11 pm.

Kicking off the annual event on May 29 is “Folk and Fun” with Cookee. Originally from Colorado, Cookee, has performed for over 25 years with some of the great legends of rock and roll music, including John Denver, to whom he plays many tributes.

The summer lineup also includes four performances by the talented students of the Birch Creek Jazz Ensemble. The students are in residence at the world-renowned Birch Creek Music Performance Center for several weeks of musical and performance study.

Also returning this season is Bob Bero, playing oldies from the ‘60s and ‘70s on acoustic guitar, Dave Olsen with the Bottom Line, performing the music of the Muddy Waters, as well as Mark Smazada and Matt Wahl on guitar. A new addition to the lineup includes contemporary folk singer Jimmy Rosetti, performing many of Jimmy Buffet’s greatest hits.
