Gibraltar Historical Association Announce Heritage Days Activities

The Gibraltar Historical Association of Fish Creek announces Heritage Days will be held from June 7 – 9 and is themed “Honoring the Past through Textiles and Fibers.”

Heritage Days celebrates the varied historic treasures that the Fish Creek community and surrounding Gibraltar Township represents. From the beautiful historical buildings around the village to the Alexander Noble home which was built in 1875, Fish Creek has many historical sites to explore.

Some of the activities highlighting the theme will be a Quilt show and a display of the art of fishnet repair.

Other activities include boat tours of the Fish Creek shoreline, visits to Eagle Bluff Lighthouse, watching skilled craftsmen, listening to the music of the Water Street Hot Shots, learning about Barn Quilts at the History Center, the Gibraltar Talks “Postcards of Yesteryear” lecture and investigating an antique barn and orchard atop the bluff.
