Eight Gibraltar Middle School students – the highest number of Gibraltar participants since 2006 – proved their musical-instrument prowess during the recent Wisconsin School Middle Level Honors Project auditions.
Two students – Mia Glocke (trumpet) and Olive Wisniewski (horn) – secured positions in the Wisconsin School Middle Level Honors Band. Steven Prescott (trumpet) and Luke McCormack (trombone) were selected as prioritized alternates; and Katja Nelson (clarinet), Clara Carriere (clarinet) and Victor Soriano (bass clarinet) were selected as alternates.
Participating in the auditions allows students to showcase their skills, gain exposure to a wider audience and learn from peers and instructors.
