Gibraltar Receives Recognition in Statewide Contest

The Wisconsin Troopers’ Association is pleased to announce that a local student has placed in their annual statewide Art and Essay Contest. Artwork submitted by Justina Zukauskaite, a student at Gibraltar Elementary School in Fish Creek, was selected as a Honorable Mention for this year’s competition. Justina, the daughter of Asta Zukauskiene, received a certificate of award.

This year marks the 21st annual statewide art and essay competition sponsored by the Wisconsin Troopers’ Association. This year, art entrants were required to incorporate the theme, “All Creatures Large and Small,” while essay participants had a theme of “As I travel on Wisconsin Roads.”

All winning and honorable mention entries will be available for viewing on the Wisconsin Troopers’ Association Web site at http://www.wi-troopers.org. Each year, the Wisconsin Trooper’s Association awards $4,250 to students who are selected as contest winners. With over 1,500 entries received, the association congratulates and honors all students who placed as winners and honorable mentions in this year’s contest.
