Gibraltar Solo/Ensemble Students Proceed to State

Gibraltar High School hosted a well-attended solo and ensemble festival on Feb. 23. Students from five schools participated in 313 events. Music and energy filled the halls while students performed music, and adjudicators dispensed praise and constructive feedback to the musicians.

Students who select the highest difficulty of music and perform it very strongly are given the opportunity to perform at the state level. The following students from Gibraltar have earned that opportunity: Samantha Phillips, flute solo and duet; Kimberly Craig, flute solo and duet; Emma Nickles, flute solo and duet; Evan Board, flute duet; The Gibraltar Saxophone Choir; The Gibraltar Flute Choir; The Gibraltar Polka Band; The Gibraltar Jazz Band; The Gibraltar Clarinet Choir; Kylie Straub, piano solo; Anya Kopischke, vocal solo, piano solo and musical theater performance; Ainsley Nelson, piano solo; and Genevieve Pelrine, vocal solo.
