Gills Rock Artists Show Gardens, Grounds, and Artwork

Rob Williams paints on the grounds of his studio/gallery.

Travel north to the Gills Rock-Ellison Bay area to discover the art of the Gills Rock Artists, five painters who live and work in the quiet, less traveled, “Top of the Thumb.”

For four days, Thursday through Sunday, July 29 to August 1, the Gills Rock Artists welcome visitors from 10 am – 5 pm to their individual studios and galleries to show off their artwork, grounds, and gardens. Bonnie Paruch, Wayne Simmons, Rob Williams, Bob Bentley, and Jim Maronek will greet visitors at their studios with refreshments and painting demonstrations.

All five studios/galleries are located within several miles of each other in the Gills Rock-Ellison Bay area, and may be visited within a single outing. Maps are available at the Ellison Bay Tourist Center and can also be found in the Door County Artsmap 2010 and the Peninsula Artsguide. Follow the yellow arrow signs with “Great Days” on them.
