Girls Soccer Teams Open Postseason June 2

Both of Door County’s high school girls soccer teams will open the WIAA Division 4 tournament on June 2 with road games.

Sturgeon Bay received the No. 9 seed and will play in the regional semifinal at No. 8-seeded New Holstein. The winner advances to the regional final June 4 to face the winner between No. 1-seeded Kiel and No. 16-seeded Clintonville.

Sevastopol/Gibraltar received a No. 13 seed and plays at No. 4-seeded Sheboygan Lutheran/Sheboygan Christian. The winner plays in the regional final June 4 against the winner between No. 5-seeded St. Mary’s Catholic and No. 12-seeded Kohler.

Sectional semifinals are scheduled for June 9, with the sectional championship set for June 11.

The Division 4 state semifinals and championship game are slated for June 17-18 at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee.
