Giving Coats to Kids

Alexis models a coat for the Coats for Kids program.

The season for winter coats is approaching and Clothe My People is once again setting up Coats for Kids. Gently worn winter coats for children may be dropped off at DeJardin Cleaners or Tip Top Laundry to be cleaned before Nov. 3. Your donated coats will be picked up for distribution to kids in need of a warm winter coat.

Any new children’s coats you wish to donate can be taken to Feed and Clothe My People at 204 N. 14th Ave., Sturgeon Bay. Children in need of a winter coat are to come to Feed and Clothe My People 14th Avenue Thrift Shop with a parent or guardian during regular business hours from Nov. 3 through Nov. 14. Adults are asked to bring proof of residency in Door County, and to tell a clerk that they are there for Coats for Kids.

Feed and Clothe My People, in cooperation with Tip Top Laundry and DeJardin Cleaners, are pleased to be a helping hand in this community.
