Glass Art by Ruben Fasani on Display at K. Allen Gallery in Door County

The K. Allen Gallery will present the work of glass artist Ruben Fasani. On July 30, the public is welcome to an artist’s reception from 2 – 5 pm, when Fasani will be on hand to discuss his work.

Fasani’s work has a distinct look that speaks of human interactions. His “Family Sculptures” and “Gathering Series” depict finger-size figures frozen in intimate gestures. Often he will use these figures in combination with the automobile, another prevalent theme in his work.

Fasani was born and educated in Argentina. In 1960, he earned a degree as an Artistic Ceramics Technician from the National School of Ceramics. In 1989 he and his wife, Marcia Larrubia, opened their own studio Fuego y Forma (“Fire and Form”) where they create and exhibit their artistic pieces. He has also exhibited at the 48th International Hall of Ceramics in Faenza, Italy, the Exhibition of Argentine National Awards in Paris, France, and the Biennial of Ceramics 2002 in El Cairo, Egypt.

K. Allen Gallery is located at the corner of county Q and Highway 57 just east of Ephraim. For more information visit http://www.kallengallery.com.
