Go Dig at Crossroads!

By popular demand, Crossroads at Big Creek will open its Ida Bay Preserve hands-on archaeological dig to adults May 16, 2:30 pm. No experience is needed; wear heavy work gloves and clothes that can get dirty. Park in the lot at the intersection of Canal Road and Buffalo Ridge Trail.

Wild Ones will host Karen Newbern’s “Bugs Are Our Buddies” lecture May 16, 7 pm. She’ll explain why we need insects and how to attract them to our yards.

Patrick Forsythe, associate professor of biology and chair of UW-Green Bay’s Environmental Science and Policy Graduate Program, will present “Pike Burst Swimming into the Future” on May 22, 7 pm, to discuss the influence of landscape and climate change on northern pike population dynamics.

Crossroads at Big Creek is a donor-supported learning center comprising the Big Creek, Ida Bay, and The Cove Preserves. The Collins Learning Center is open 2-4 pm daily and during scheduled activities.
