Golden Heart Awards Coming April 26

The Volunteer Center of Door County is pleased to announce the 10th annual Golden Heart Volunteer Celebration presented by Ministry Door County Medical Center and the Volunteer Center of Door County will be held April 26 at Stone Harbor Resort.

Golden Heart nomination forms are now available. Please consider nominating local volunteers to recognize for their efforts in schools, non-profit agencies or at community events. Nominations are accepted in five categories: Youth, Adult, Group, Arts & Culture and the esteemed “Lifetime of Service” award for those 62 and older.

Nominees are treated to a complimentary dinner and will be recognized individually. Award recipients will receive a unique art piece created by Chad Luberger of Plum Bottom Pottery as well as $500 to donate to a Door County charity of their choice. The Youth category award recipient will receive a $500 academic scholarship.

Marti Spittell Ziegelbauer, philanthropist and women’s health advocate, will be returning as Master of Ceremonies.
