Golf that Gives

Tickets are available for the second annual Bill Boettcher Dinner & Golf Event, presented by Horseshoe Bay Golf Club and the Door County Community Foundation.

On July 20, there will be a five-course dinner paired with select wine. Hosted cocktails begin at 5:30 pm, dinner follows at 6:30 pm and the event ends at 9 pm. A jacket is required. On July 21, the handicap “Pinehurst Shamble” Golf Event begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 am with lunch and awards to follow. Guests may participate on either or both days.

The Bill Boettcher Dinner and Golf Event originally was the idea of the Horseshoe Bay Golf Club whose members wanted to give back to the Door County community. “This event is a real partnership between Horseshoe Bay and the Community Foundation,” says Bill Boettcher, a charter member of the Golf Club and a founding director of the Community Foundation. “It’s a way for us to give back to the community we love.”

“The Community Foundation works to minimize administrative expenses so we can maximize the amount of money given out to charity,” said Bret Bicoy, President and CEO of the Community Foundation. “In that spirit, 100 percent of the money that is raised will be granted out to the charities of Door County through the Community Foundation’s Sustainability and Advancement Grant programs.”

Reservations for the Sunday dinner are $75 per person. Monday Golf is $70 per person for Horseshoe Bay members and $125 per person for non-members. To register, call 920.746.1786 or email Kacie Wilson at [email protected]. Fore more information visit GiveDoorCounty.org.
