Good Cause, Good Time

The Ride for Nature supports a good cause, but with an expanded post-ride celebration in 2011 it’s also sure to be a good time.

The June 18 festivities centered around 100, 50, 25, and 15-mile bicycle rides along Northern Door’s picturesque back roads will include a post-ride party featuring live music and camaraderie beneath the tent on the lawn in front of the Baileys Harbor Town Hall. Everyone is invited to attend the post-ride party.

Flanigan Distributing of Sturgeon Bay has hopped on board as a sponsor of the 2011 event and with it they’ll bring barrels of New Belgium Fat Tire and Somersault beers, Bud Light and Frostop Root Beer. Ride participants will receive a complimentary drink ticket, as well as a post-ride meal catered by the Baileys Harbor Cornerstone Pub with locally grown vegetables provided by The Getaway Car: Farm to Kitchen Produce. Beverages will also be available for purchase.

Nick Steingart and Jess Holland will serenade the afternoon away from noon – 3 pm. As riders return from the road, the duo’s smooth harmonies and catchy melodies are sure to set the mood for the relaxation and celebration.

Registration is still open for all four distances. To register or for more information visit http://www.ridefornature.com.

The Ride for Nature will benefit The Ridges Sanctuary, Wisconsin’s oldest nonprofit nature preserve. The Baileys Harbor preserve protects over 1,600 acres of forests and wetlands and is one of the most biologically diverse areas in Wisconsin.
