Good Samaritan Society Receives “McKnight’s” Excellence in Technology Award

The Good Samaritan Society was recently awarded the Bronze Award in Quality in the first annual McKnight’s Excellence In Technology Awards – Connect Our World. McKnight’s and American HealthTech partnered to establish the award, which recognizes notable uses of technology to improve senior living services.

The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society, based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, was recognized for their LivingWell@Home program. The initiative uses sensor technology, telehealth, personal emergency response systems and central data monitoring services. The Good Samaritan Society-Scandia Village in Sister Bay is implementing this system October 31 in the Assisted Living sector.
