Grand Opening of Harbor Hounds Dog Park

Pet Point trainer Deb Collings instructs DCHS Kennel Coordinator Rachel Asher on micro-chip insertion syringe.

The grand opening of Harbor Hounds Dog Park is set for June 23 at 10 am. As part of the festivities, the Door County Humane Society (DCHS) will hold the “Chip-In for Dogs” event. DCHS now has the ability to microchip dogs, cats or other small mammal pets to ensure safe returns home. From 10 am – 2 pm, microchips will be available for $25.

Harbor Hounds Dog Park features a gently sloping space with trees and benches. All dogs are welcome to the large or small dog areas, but owners must have proof of rabies vaccination.

The one-acre Harbor Hounds Dog Park is located in Village View Park on Church Street. For more information call 920.746.1111.
