Grant Opportunities for Businesses

Proprietors of small businesses may be eligible for grants to help them recover from pandemic-related losses. Applications for all of the following grant programs are due by Oct. 15, 2 pm.

Live-Event Small-Business Grant

For-profit businesses that generate 50% or more of their revenue through providing goods and/or services to live events may be eligible for a grant. A live-event venue is defined as an “in-person gathering for a specific entertainment or social event, including concerts, plays, weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, business conferences and other similar events.”

Summer Camp Assistance Grant

The federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021 provides funding to Wisconsin, and the state plans to award up to $8 million in grants to owners of summer camps in Wisconsin through this program.

Movie-Theater Assistance Grant

With ARPA funds, the state intends to award up to $11.25 million in grants to eligible movie-theater operators.

Event-Venue Grant

The state, as represented by the Department of Administration’s Division of Enterprise Operations, intends to award up to $10 million in grants in this category with ARPA funds. Send questions to [email protected].
