Third Avenue Playhouse (TAP) will host its annual fundraising event on Sept. 14 at the waterfront clubhouse of CenterPointe Marina in Sturgeon Bay. The event will feature Tapas On TAP – an array of appetizers from various local restaurants – wine, silent auction, and entertainment from TAP performers.

This event begins at 6 pm. CenterPointe Marina is located at 215 Quincy Street.

Continuing at TAP are performances of Greater Tuna through Aug. 14. Performances are held daily at 7:30 pm, with additional performances on Sunday at 2 pm. There is also an added performance on Aug. 12 at 7:30 pm.

In Greater Tuna, two actors play 20 of the town’s citizens, men, women, and children ranging in age from 12 to 80-years-old. Actors Dan Klarer and Ryan Schabach make over 40 costume changes during the two-act play.

For this production, TAP has partnered with CAP (Community Action Program) Food Pantry. TAP will collect as many cans of tuna fish for the food pantry that serves about 325 family units, all Door County residents. Cans are being collected anytime during box office hours.

As an additional incentive, an anonymous donor has pledged $500 to the food pantry and $500 to TAP if the goal of 500 cans is met.

Tickets are $22 general admission, $10 students, and $5 children. Tickets can be purchased at ThirdAvenuePlayhouse.com or by calling 920.743.1760. Third Avenue Playhouse is located at 239 N. Third Avenue in Sturgeon Bay.
