The UW-Oshkosh Environmental Research and Innovation Center is seeking Door County private well owners to participate in a groundwater study this fall. Well owners should register by filling out a form at uwo.sh/doorco-wells by Sept. 11.
The study aims to educate well owners about the importance of testing well water and to build a local database of groundwater-quality data. UW-Oshkosh will also hold a virtual public forum to provide information and solicit volunteers.
The study will test for bacteria and nitrate for a discounted cost of $30. Participants may also add arsenic and cumulative tests for an additional $25.
