Greeting Card Bird of 2013 Announced at Crossroads

The annual Crossroads lecture “Greeting Card Birds” is scheduled for Dec. 24 at 2 pm. The lecture features the birds depicted on the greeting cards that the naturalist receives in 2013. The Crossroads Bird of the Year will also be named, based on which species appears on the most card covers. For the last three years, cardinals have won with chickadees a close second. This year? Join the naturalist, and a sometimes surprisingly large group of bird enthusiasts, to find out and to learn more about local birds and their winter survival.
