Groundhog Day Parade Closes with “Groundhog Stew”

The third annual Ellison Bay Groundhog Day Parade is set for Feb. 2 at 2 pm. This year’s theme is “I Love A Parade!” Build a float, decorate your car, walk you dog, or just cheer from the sidelines – everyone is invited. Participants are asked to gather at the Baylake Bank parking lot at 1:15 pm for final preparation. The parade route goes through Ellison Bay ending up at the Mink River Basin for free “groundhog stew” (no groundhogs will be harmed in the making of the stew). Last year, Spiderman (tried to) float overhead…who knows what surprises are in store this year.
