Pledges are now being accepted for the second annual Door County Habitat for Humanity Bowl-A-Thon set for Oct. 26 at Apple Valley Lanes in Sturgeon Bay.
Habitat for Humanity is celebrating its 20th anniversary and has built 35 affordable homes which have provided safe, secure, decent housing for 84 children in Door County, and the monies raised from the Bowl-A-Thon will be dedicated to building the next home. Bowlers pay $6 to cover the costs of bowling and shoe rental. Apple Valley Lanes will donate half of the cost back to Door County Habitat for Humanity.
Bowlers are encouraged to collect a minimum of $125 in pledges and will receive a gift at registration and a free meal and beverage after bowling. Prizes will be awarded to the top 10 money raisers and an awards ceremony will follow the bowling. Interested bowlers should call 920.743.6997.
