Hailey Shimon Signs Letter of Intent

Hailey Shimon, daughter of Jason and Brenda Shimon, has earned an NCC Division I scholarship to compete in track and field at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, and she signed her National Letter of Intent with her track team and coaches in attendance.

In addition to being an all-around athlete who will earn 12 varsity letters and has received several all-conference selections, Shimon set the school record for girls discus throw of 120 feet, 8 inches.

Shimon is a high-honor student with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.87. She’s active in National Honor Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Project 180 and is doing a youth apprenticeship at Door County Dental Care in Sturgeon Bay. Shimon plans to study biological sciences, with aspirations of becoming a dentist.
