Half Marathon Announces New Date

Race postponed to Oct. 31, 2020

The Door County Half Marathon has a new date!

The race, originally scheduled for May 2, has been moved to Oct. 31, 2020. Organizers say the new date will allow the event to help achieve one of its primary goals: to bring business to the community at an otherwise slow time of year.

“Our sponsors, volunteers and staff are really excited to know we’re still going to have a race this year if things get back to normal,” said race director Brian Fitzgerald.

Registrations for runners who signed up for the May 2 event will automatically be transferred to the new date – runners do not have to do anything additional to participate. Organizers have made multiple options available to runners who can’t make the Oct. 31 date, however, including deferment to the 2021 race and free transfers if they sell their bib to another runner.

Organizers are also offering a special deal to runners who participate in this year’s fall run: Participants in the Oct. 31 run can now sign up for the 2021 Door County Half Marathon for just $40, or $15 for the Nicolet Bay 5K!
