Half Marathon Fees Increase April 1

For four hours on Saturday, May 6, runners participating in the Door County Half Marathon and Nicolet Bay 5k will have the roads of Peninsula State Park all to themselves.

For 13.1 miles half marathoners will hear little more than the patter of fellow runners’ feet on the pavement, waves rippling on the shore and birds in the trees as spring comes to the park. There’s still time to be a part of the kickoff to spring in Door County, but registration fees increase April 1.

Runners all receive a long-sleeved race shirt, and at the finish line, all half marathoners will receive an awesome finisher’s medal before heading to the concourse at Nicolet Beach for a free beer from One Barrel Brewing Co., live music and a celebration with a couple thousand new running friends.

The 5K participants get great race perks as well: a great race T-shirt and all those post-run party perks, but with 10 fewer miles and no hills!

Ride the free shuttles to the starting line; enjoy the late 10 am start that allows you to have a little fun Friday night; and take on your spring challenge at the Door County Half Marathon or Nicolet Bay 5K on Saturday, May 6. Visit doorcountyhalfmarathon.com to learn more and register.
