Half Marathon Now Full

Registration for the 2021 Door County Half Marathon is now full! The only remaining ways to enter this year’s race are through the Run for a Cause Program or by purchasing a spot from another runner.

There are still a few spots left in the Nicolet Bay 5k. Register for that race at DoorCountyHalfMarathon.com.

More than 2,500 runners are registered for the first fall edition of the race, which is normally held on the first Saturday in May on a closed-road course in Peninsula State Park. This year the race was postponed until Saturday, Oct. 30, because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The packet pickup and runners’ expo will take place Friday, Oct. 29, 1-9 pm, at the Baileys Harbor Town Hall, 2392 Cty F, before the activities move to the starting line at Nicolet Bay on Saturday morning. The half marathon will start at 10 am, and the 5K will start at 10:15 am. All runners will cross the finish line by 1:45 pm.

Some of the roads in Peninsula State Park will be closed for the Oct. 30 event, and access to the Nicolet boat launch will close between 7:30 am and 2 pm that day. Access to Eagle Tower will not be impeded during the event.
