Organizers of the Door County Half Marathon and Nicolet Bay 5k have extended registration through Monday, April 29.
“We’ve had a lot of runners transfer from the half marathon to the 5k, which has opened some spots in the half marathon,” said race director Brian Fitzgerald.
The race takes place Saturday, May 4 in Peninsula State Park. Nearly 2,300 runners are expected to take part in the half marathon and 5k. All half marathon runners receive a long-sleeve tech race shirt, finisher’s medal and free Tapuat Kombucha and beer from One Barrel Brewing Co. at the finish line.
Open Tab will provide live music at the finish line party at Nicolet Bay before the party moves to Husby’s in Sister Bay for the afternoon and evening with Dirty Deuce.
If you can’t run but would like to be part of the event, volunteers are still needed for positions at the finish line, and as park and shuttle bus greeters. Email [email protected] to volunteer.
