Halloween at the Red Putter

The Red Putter Mini Golf in North Ephraim has been dressing up the gnomes and bringing out the witches and ghosts to make a fun destination for Halloween.

“For years we’ve stayed open through Oct. 31,” said course manager Tracy Yttri Opper. “It began with my father [the late Bob Yttri] when people requested he stay open so they could bring their Halloween parties here to golf.”

Many families now make The Red Putter part of their Halloween traditions and each year The Putter adds a few more decorations and a few more tricks and treats.

“We try to make it fun, but not too scary,” said Opper. “I love how it looks at night and we are already brewing up plans for next year.”

Stop by for a game amongst the decorations and fun photo-ops. From Oct. 27 to 31, golfers who come in costume will receive $1 off their game of golf. Trick-or-treaters are always welcome. The Red Putter is open daily through Oct. 31 and will reopen again in May.
